COBALT - LAUNCHING THEIR INTEGRATED OPERATION IN TERMINAL 4
On the night of 23th November 2009, Cobalt Ground Solutions completed a highly successful move of 7 airline customers, 4 nightstop aircraft, 150 pieces of ground equipment and the base of 240 staff from Terminal 2 into Terminal 4 at Heathrow. On the 24th of November, the operation started with the first flights of Air France, CSA and Tunis Air, which all operated as if they had been in Terminal 4 for years. An intense period of preparation by Cobalt's Management, in concert with the airline customers and the BAA paid off. All staff moving from T2 to T4, were given a T4 Start-up information pack about what they could expect on their first days in Terminal 4 and other relevant information regarding Terminal 4. All staff are now benefiting from access to refurbished restrooms and offices in Terminal 4. This move into Terminal 4 was an important step to building Cobalt’s position in the renewed Terminal 4. Corneel Koster, Cobalt’s Managing Director, says “I am extremely proud of achievement by our team and the excellence in service continuity which we offered all our airline customers, throughout this strategic move into Terminal 4. We now look forward to strengthening our position as the leading services provider in this beautiful and efficient terminal. By being under one roof at Heathrow, we can offer the broadest possible services range to the airline community in T4 and we are able to further increase our efficiency by realizing our post merger synergies in a controlled way.“ Cobalt offers the broadest range of ground handling services available at London Heathrow Terminal 4 and London City Airport.
