SILVER SAFETY AWARD FOR CONTINENTAL
On the 18th of March the Continental Airlines Team at Heathrow received the prestigious 2009 Silver Achievement Award for Safety. This Continental Award is a huge accolade for the Continental Team and the Members of the Safety Action Team at Heathrow, particularly as London Heathrow is the first station of Continental in Europe to receive this safety award.
Cobalt Ground Solutions is an active member of the CO Safety Action Team. As the largest service provider for Continental at Heathrow, Cobalt is very proud to have contributed strongly to this award, which has been signified with a plague. Our teams where applauded by Continental's Regional Manager for Europe and the Continental VP for Safety because of our safety culture in all departments, with special accolade for Cobalt's ramp teams.
After the audit last year one of the Continental auditors complimented the Cobalt T4 team as follows " Credit to Cobalt who really seemed to get the big picture. Cobalt took action in all areas to improve not only Cobalt items but also to drive improvement with other Business Partners. Hearing protection was dramatically improved, the new facility created for the Cobalt employee break room and training was top notch. Cobalt has created a sign off log for Alerts and other items requiring sign off. They have also created a few training binders for employees to review during breaks.”
